Smart Plugs

Description​

Although technically not an actual component of GrowSmart, smart plugs (wifi-enabled power sockets) to play a crucial role in the current version of GrowSmart.

While GrowSmart is capable of controlling fan speed and light intensity, it still relies on smart plugs to actually power fans or lights on and off.

As an added benefit, using smart plugs also allows you to monitor the power consumption of your fan and lights.

The current reference implementation uses a specific smart plug model, but theoretically any smart plug that can be flashed with Tasmota (or ESPHome directly) can be used.

  • 2 * Nous A1T smart plugs (~20€) - make sure to get the A1T model
